The Bible teaches us that prayer is our most effective means of dealing with adversity and suffering. It’s what God wants us to do. It’s what we should be doing. And when we exercise it, God leads us.
We are all blessed by being able to pray.

What’s more, praying can lift your spirits up and open your eyes to see life from a new perspective. Praying is like riding a bike. The moment you put your weight on the pedals, the bike starts moving. A little bit of weight and you feel a lot more confident about things, then a little more and the bike’s weight starts to build.
How much stronger can you get when you start to pray more now?
I’ve found that the more I pray, the stronger my connection to God becomes. And when I’m more connected to the power of God within me, I’m much more inspired.
The moment you’re inspired, you can start to change the way you’re living. It’s very easy to talk about the things that are bothering you, and that’s important, but your motivation comes from within. You’ll find that the things that keep coming to mind are the things that you’ve always done and the things that motivate you.
When you look at your own life and how much you’ve contributed to it, you will see your own opportunities to get out of your rut. You will build back your confidence. Then suddenly how you see things changes and you’ll have so much more success. So every time you put your effort into something, your energy is more focused and therefore more powerful.
And that’s just part of the reason that for better or worse, your life will be determined by your prayer life.
